I just got a used eeepc netbook, specs:
Intel Atom N570 1.66Ghz, 2C4T
2GB DDR2 RAM
Intel GMA 3150, supports DX9 but no HW T&L
Windows 7 SP1 32-bit

Star Trek Hidden Evil supports 3 display options:
Software - works for WindowsXP and later.
Glide/3Dfx - works with dgvoodoo2.
Direct3D - so far only works in Win11 21H2 without any modification, otherwise needs dgvoodoo2.

Since GMA 3150 doesn't support DX10, I decided to try dgvoodoo1... But I can't select Glide even when I put glide2x.dll in game exe folder. I tried:
dgvoodoo1.40+
dgvoodoo1.50 beta2

Based on recommended video card list, I think HW T&L is not necessary:
