I'm looking for a FTP client that would allow me to mount an FTP server share as a drive letter in DOS. I know there was a MS Network Client that worked like that, but since MS is phasing out support of old versions of the SMB protocol I don't want to rely on it. I've also seen such clients for NFS shares, but I don't want to setup an NFS server on my Windows box.
Hi, what about using a Raspberry Pi as an SMB server ?
It should work well with modern OSes and DOS.

I've tried most of this. Necromancers DN FTP client looks great but it didn't work on my PC for some reason (failed to connect to the FTP server).
