Hi Guys, hope you're fine in this lockdown!

Yesterday i reinstall some games on my retro PC (Athlon 1600+ / GF3 / Win98 SE) but i have some major issues in NFS3 and in Fifa World Cup 98. This two games have the 3D device setup to choose between "software renderer" and "Direct3D Device 1" and when i select D3D to play with some filters, the game won't launch and freeze the whole system.

I have DX9.0c and the 45.23 drivers. I've tested with DX 7.0 too and the same happens. I've tried the D3d / Voodoo2 name swap and it gave me other error. I don't know if this is a common problem but if you have any ideas or solution it would be great.

Thanks a lot guys!!!!

Grab the "modern patch" and try NFS 3 with that.

Read and follow the instructions fully.

The game froze. You mean you had to click restart. Well I figured the same thing out on Win10. If you use a modern OS, just use a wrapper like dgVoodoo. But since you are using an old OS, this wasn't an option. Looked forward to help 😃
