I'm currently running a 120 mhz Pentium-S processor, I'd like a bit more speed for some things, but I know Daggerfall gets wonky if it is too fast. So, how far can I safely upgrade? I believe I have a Socket 7 motherboard.

1.) MS-DOS 6.22, Pentium 233mhz, 32mb RAM, S3 Trio64, Sound Blaster Pro 2
2.) Windows 98SE with Unofficial SP3, AMD Athlon 1.3ghz, 768mb RAM, Geforce 4 MX 440 64mb AGP, Sound Blaster Live! Value

I've ran Daggerfall on a 2ghz Pentium 4 NW no issues.

Also on my P3 1.4S

Okay, great! Thanks for your reply! I was only looking to go up to 233mhz or so.

Daggerfall is DOS only, isn't it? If so, then do you mean you ran it in DOSBox, or in native DOS on your PC? If the latter, then I'm surprised that DOS games can run on modern machines natively (though I've not tried to run DOS on any PC for years (DOSBox does all I ask of it), so my surprise is based on my utter ignorance of modern DOS usage!).

Oh right. I wouldn't have thought 98 and ME would work properly on hardware that was so monumentally faster than the operating systems were written for.
