Having an issue in GLQuake 1.09 where the HUD flickers. Noticed in the 3dfx MiniGl 1.47 readme file it mentions to enable triple buffering to eliminate the issue and to use console command “gl_triplebuffer 1”. Problem is, my version of quake doesn’t seem to recognize “gl_triplebuffer” as a valid command.

Any ideas? Thanks for reading!

In the console, try typing:
gl_ztrick 0
You will probably need to add it to autoexec.cfg to avoid having to execute it every time you run the game.

Apologies for the late reply, just tried it and unfortunately still seeing the same issue, thank you for your suggestion.

Try SET FX_GLIDE_ALLOC_COLOR=3 (or check "Force triple color buffering for glide apps" in the V2 panel).
