I am not talking about those old ones that you need to stretch to fit to the screen.

I am talking about these in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09rJFtnw3-c

I downloaded Windows 98 plus as well, but there were nowhere to be found.

Any help?

You can install them from Add/Remove in Control Panel. "Desktop Themes" is the option to select (click the 'Windows Setup' tab), and it has most (but not all) of the wallpapers, etc. shown in that video.

Ok I did that. Still no dice. They didn't show up.

The wallpapers are found in Program Files\Plus!\themes, they don't install to the Windows folder as usual. The procedure for this is to open the Desktop Themes control panel applet and select a theme, which it'll then scale/convert a jpeg from the themes folder into a specific bitmap in the windows folder (this was made long before IE4+ ActiveDesktop allowed jpeg desktop wallpapers as that'll technically be treated as a webpage).

If you have Plus installed should be as easy as this
https://youtu.be/ouLgXC5rbac?t=1478

The Desktop Themes icon is the same as in control panel in standard Windows 98 so if your missing the list somethings gone wrong somewhere

You know what had gone wrong? ME! 😓 They were there all along, in the themes, right in front of me. It has been years. I only remembered the wallpapers, so I thought it was just wallpapers. I completely forgot about the icons that changed too with the themes. It just hit me when everyone started mentioning the themes. It was me that needed fixing after all.

Thanks guys. This is solved.

One of the fun things is relearning all this, It's surprising how much you forget but also how much you do remember
