how about no or do it yourself (preferably in a seperate topic)?

Current status: ARGUS Prototypes still not sent, materials safely stored, living in a glorified storage room for sublet, still working at my scummy, loser-job 6 days per week.
Feels good to be a combination of a slacker and a failure. If anyone wants to do me a favor, send me your current paypal address for a refund of your donation, so I at least have one more situation in my life where I'm not leeching off others and drag you into my failure.

You are awesome for making this happen and you are NOT a failure. On the other hand, you have a talent not many have. Everyone goes through rough times, you will get through this things will improve. Just keep at it.

I am one of your early contributors and I still stick by your side, whenever the card is made is fine by me. I think you will hear many people tell you the same thing I am.

Be well.

+1

The original project was serving the community with affordable GUSes - have you seen the prices of these lately? ARGUS is even more relevant today.

You'll be stronger when you return - everyone goes through stages in their lives. Just take things one at a time, you will be back.

This is not about today's relevance, but oweing to people to which I didn't deliver in a long, long time - and probably won't for another, possibly never.

Think of it as payment for your hours spent doing all the legwork on this project. More than fair.

I stream retro games every wednesday here & I dump the recordings here

shock__, while I'm totally joining the guys on their points, it would still be great to get the RC prototype boards - it would really help the whole project overall (we'll check it for the bugs once again + start designing/modding the expansion options) and would also entertain and keep us busy for quite some time. Is there a way how we could help you to ship them out? Some logistics center that could receive one single package, split it and ship them to those who are entitled? Sending them without the presoldered interwave chips? Additional donations to cover S&H + additional costs? Feel free to tell, and we'll help.

The rental situation in Berlin and surrounding areas seems to be rather brutal. It is significant enough that it made the national news over here. They showed groups protesting the lack of available rental units, the cost of the small number that are available, the conditions of some of the units and the attitude of some of the property owners. It doesn't sound like an easy market.

I don't think anyone here wants to make an already-difficult situation any worse. The fact that that design exists at all is already pretty impressive. If there is something we can do to advance the project, please tell us. If you feel you'll want to get back to it at some point, I think most can stand to wait. If not, I'm sure we'll live.

Yeah failure of german politics.
your goverment really sucks these days.
And going to elect will also not help these time. only radicals or dirtbags are chooseable.

Shock_:
maybe its best to leave Berlin behind and find some better place to life.
in a more affordable region.. there are places you won`t believe.
with even better chances for one with your technical skills.

Yeah failure of german politics.

Rental prices are nothing the government has to control, we are not living in a socialistic system. The non-existing moral of rent sharks are the problem and there isn't really a way for politics to solve this. Also, this problem exist in almost every western country. Living in larger cities is almost unaffordable for most people. That's why most people prefer suburban towns.

there are ways to control this, social housing for example, or keeping Foreigners Investors from obtaining real estates inside your Country.
like new zealand does it. You won` t believe how much real estates are only investment objects, and often there lives no one inside.
A Big Example is London.

but this is not topic here, we are a tech and software related forum so we should keep talking about hardware.

Politics are not to be blamed, unless you want to distract from personal responsibility 😀
