According to Unisound thread - cards based on AZt2320 probably can not be set up to use IRQ 7. Therefore I suggest AZT2316.
For example Unreal from Future Crew doesn't play music on SoundBlaster compatibles with IRQ 5. Older titles may be more compatible with IRQ 7

1) VLSI SCAMP /286@20 /4M /CL-GD5422 /CMI8330
2) i420EX /486DX33 /16M /TGUI9440 /GUS+ALS100+MT32PI
3) i430FX /K6-2@400 /64M /Rage Pro PCI /ES1370+YMF718
4) i440BX /P!!!750 /256M /MX440 /SBLive!
5) iB75 /3470s /4G /HD7750 /HDA

You can reserve IRQ7 in the BIOS or just free this irq if your MB allow to do

Yes I know, but there is no IRQ7 line on soundcard PCB connected 😀

Anyone using a DreamBlaster X2 with one of these cards? I've got one connected to a Nova 16 Extra 2, and it works great, but with the exception of a single game, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and I'm trying to debug the reason.
If anyone can help test, I've made a post about it under software:
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo - Midi music, wrong drums?
Besides this one little issue, I love the card, super low noise, SBP2, Opl3, Waveblaster header and WSS for 16bit stuff! Dirt cheap too.

good evening. I have an aztec Washington 16 2316A sound card. I noticed that it has an ide cd rom connector. How do I install CD driver for DOS and Win 3.11? The sound part already works correctly.

What's the difference between the Multimedia Pro 16 ABI and ABO? According to some posts, they seem to use the same FCC ID MMSN850, but there's no information how to tell them apart.

If http://dosdays.co.uk/topics/Manufacturers/aztech.php is accurate, there might not be a need to tell them apart since feature set is basically the same, AFAIU.

Main difference between this cards is on presents of IDE interface on ABI and missing it on the ABO. All other specs are the same. See attachment.

Error opening setup.inf
Prigram Abort.
But setup.inf is there.
Maybe problem, i install ftom hdd?

the original aztech drivers have to be installed from diskettes.
the setup file expects disk change and different files on each disk.

802 is Sound Galaxy NX Pro (Generation 1 card)
810 is Sound Galaxy Pro/Basic 16 (Generation 1 card)
813 is Sound Galaxy Audio 16 ( Generation 1 card)

802 and 810 have covox speech thing and disney sound source support via a virtual com port driver.
The cards dont have a IDE interface (Just specific connectors) so its useless and dont need to be installed if you dont have the drives for it.

Aztech drivers come on diskettes and dont like to be installed from anything else then diskettes.
drivers: http://vogonsdrivers.com/index.php?catid=54

you can also initialise Aztech cards with unisound.

How can i disable the specific cd-rom connectors?
Then for 802 need install the /NXPRO/NXP241-1,2,3?
for 810 Galaxy Pro/Basic 16 the /PRO16/P16103-1,2,3?
and the 813 Galaxy audio 16 ?

UNISOUND doesn´t work, only with newer cards.
813 works with BASAUD/AZT16200

I have used turboimage for installation without floppy drives.
ethfloppy should work if you have a network connection.

...

If you install original Aztech drivers they will ask you if you want to install the cd rom driver. Just say no there and its done. No need to disable it on the board.

And like mentioned Unisound is a PNP tool. I misremembered that the first generation isnt pnp. And even if unisound could initialise these cards, covox and disney are seperate things...
My 486 Test board where i test all my soundcards does have pnp so i dont unisound that often. sorry for the confusion.

810 needs BAS16 (BAS is BASic)
😀

If it doesnt work, try different drivers... Aztech drivers always confuse me a little bit, but in the end we got all cards working.
