Hello,
I would like to know if someone knows about an old SDK (except the AIL 2 version provided by Miles himself)
which is floating around the net. Preferable around 1995-1998.
I'm not talking about the libraries, provided by the games, but the code itself or any information about using the dlls, like reference books etc.
I would really like to code with the old library (or if you have knowledge about other sound libraries from that time).

Greetings
Karm

Wasn't there a topic somewhere that listed the different kind of sound libraries common in DOS games? MIDPAK/DIGPAK, AIL, Sierra DRV, VESA audio, etc? It would be nice to safeguard all those APIs and docs.

Yes, I found it, after I created this thread.
Nevertheless, the thread doesn't point to any SDK and there are just 2 big libraries mentioned.
A list of sound engines found in DOS games

I will contact bristlehog who did a list of different sound engines there.
The MSS is listed there with "source: yes" so I assume he have or found the code to one of the newer versions.
I or he will report back, if there is indeed a usable version.
