I am looking for recomendations for a stereo switch box so I can run one of my three PC's at a time and one of the three MIDI modules at a time through my
stereo mixer, my stereo mixer is a Xenyx 802 with limited inputs (2x stereo, 2x mono) that I use to mix:

Dos PC with MT32 or SC55 MK2
Win 98 PC with SC55 MK1
XP PC just to speakers

I have a MIDI mountain of two SC55's (MK1 + MK2) and a modifyed MT32 with four out puts two are for stereo clean and two for stereo reverb that take up 2
stereo inputs on the Xenyx 802 (3/4 & 5/6), the switch box im looking for needs to be able to switch between my modified MT32 with its two stereo outputs
and the two SC55's with their single stereo outputs but the ones ive been looking at online are to switch between single stereo outputs with a dial but I
think I will need a type that has a push button on/off for each audio output as I can then turn on numbers 1 and 2 in my picture to use the MT32 and turn
on just 3 or 4 for the SC55's.

My three PC's will either need a separate switch box or if possible be able to use the switch box for the above if it has two selectors (one for MIDI modules
one for PC's) and the switch box doesnt need a volume option as I would just use the mixer for volume. I have a picture I made to make it clearer but my
picture is assuming two switch boxes, I am using two mono inputs for the sound cards left and right channel as I like to control them this way on the mixer
and I have run out of stereo inputs.

Thanks all, GK123.

I found a YouTube video where someone made their own audio switch using an old parallel switch I love this idea to select for the sound cards as it would add a retro feel to my setup but would the selector knob switch in the box be ok to use for audio switching as the wire gauge doesn't look thick enough?

Not sure it if helps, but I use a Samson SM10 rackmount mixer for my midi rack:

I can have numerous simultaneous inputs with 1 output to my computer - works VERY well.

Thanks Hudson187 but I'm trying to keep the size down from lack of desk space and since I cant find a cheap or aesthetic to my liking switch box online I'm going to make my own from an old parallel switch box but the parts I will need some help with so first off I need a 3 pole rotary switch to select the output for which MIDI device, the one I have at the local shop is this one:

https://www.jaycar.com.au/3-pole-sealed-pcb-rotary/p/SR1214

I've dabbled in electronics before and I understand the basics of what I need to do but this 3 pole switch is meant for 240 V would it be ok to run audio through it? I'm looking for good quality parts so if my link above screams low quality or if you know a better one suited to audio please say. Since this is going to be built inside a metal box with some lengths of unshielded wiring to and from the switch and 1/4 inch jack inputs plus PCB what can I do to reduce interference and or noise or would this not really be a problem but when I say "really" I'm trying to keep noise down to a maximum, I'm even going to upgrade my speakers to studio monitors but more on that later as my current studio monitors and possibly my sound card (PAS 16) has way to much noise even after running "PAS *" and reducing the treble and bass.

When making this switch is there any danger to the mixer if two MIDI modules are powered on at the same time and switching between them? I read the above 3 pole switch is "Break Before Make (BBM)" functioned so I guess it disconnects the contact before making the next contact so two MIDI modules cant be sent to the one output.

We've been discussing this very thing over here: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

@ras2a is going for some switches from "Lynep Audio." He's yet to receive them and report back.

I'm looking at the ones pictured. These are the same as the ones LGR uses in his "MIDI Mountain" video, so should be fine.

Thanks again everyone but I'm not looking at using any rack type because of space and they only have a single output but if anyone's interested in a 3 box switcher this one is from Jaycar:

https://www.jaycar.com.au/3-way-audio-selector/p/AC1655

it might be an option for me but until I receive my parallel switch box to mod I will go for something like the one from Jaycar or this one:

https://www.ebay.com.au/i/274286934112?chn=ps … egaAkh5EALw_wcB

I'm hoping to mod my parallel box to fit both my MIDI and PC sound card switching needs so it will have the original switch and another 3 pole switch does anyone have any input for this type of build from my last questions?
