There are better community drivers for the Opti 929 MAD16 chipset than the original ones out there, do a google search.

OK, so I did it for you: https://github.com/JKnipperts/OPTi82c929_Driver

Thank You but for some reason I have to put in the floppy disk on startup after it says PC-DOS or else it doesn't initialize the sound card and also when I try to play sim city it plays the sound effects but don't hear the music?

For music try Adlib, clone cards can have problems with SB emulation in some games and Opti 929 is not one of the best compatible clones..

I know this is a little weird but since it is an issue I tried wiping the drives on it and now when I try to install the soundcard driver that everyone recommended it gives me a error! Configuration file could not be written! Settings were not Saved! Runtime error 103 at 0000:119B how do I fix this? This is with fresh install of Windows 3.11?
