Hi all...
I have this Compaq TNT2 Ultra 32mb AGP. It has these ports: VGA, S-VHS, VESA-DFP.
The reason for me asking, is that there is not that much information about it on the internet.
And I can not really find it on eBay or on any other sites like that.

Has to be quite rare, TNT2 Ultra itself is not that common but OEm versions are even more rare.

Many 3Dfx and Pentium III-S stuff.

Where does it say Compaq on it? Is it just a sticker? It seems to be a Creative Labs TNT2. Just google the CT5823 in the corner.

The sticker on the back, say that it is a Compaq card.
I don't know about the CT model number, until you made me aware of it.
Creative rebranded as a Compaq, might be true.
I must admit, that every Compaq TNT2's that I have searched for, have this exact design.
More or less that is. And most I can find on eBay are the 16mb pro editions.

EDIT:
Haha.... 🤣 Just now, I see the "Creative 1999" right below the heatsink. 🤣 🤣
Thanks for making me aware of this. Guess I have only looked at the stickers on the back.
Boy do I feel stupid now. 🤣

Does not look like 128 bit card. Can I have more detailed pictures?

Both the drivers and the sticker on the back, clearly states that this is an Ultra.
I have added bigger pictures. (Just click on them for full size)

When I google the original Creative card, I get something that looks completely different.
The original Creative card, is lacking ports and of course components too.
The heatsink looks different too. Makes me think that this card is a Creative on steroids.

I have a Nvidia Quadro4 card that looks just like this one.

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

i am absolutely sure this IS undoubtedly a tnt2ultra. and yes, its made by creative for compaq.
what special is that it comes with passive cooling, while most tnt2ultra uses active fan.

I wonder if originally there was some sort of blower mounted in the slot below or some other active cooling that was part of the case, rather than the card.

It would be quite hard to achieve forced air movement with a case-mounted fan since the ridges on the heatsink run vertically instead of horizontally.

kinda offtopic but this thread made me look for my TNT2 cart... it's a Gigabyte GA-66032D that apparently has a jumper that selects "default" or "turbo" BIOS:

neat! 🤣

Nope. All the few pictures that I have come across. Are all passive cooled cards. I think i have seen it on sale at two online shops. No in dept info, only pictures of this card.

that's why they used that huge heatsink - compare it to the other active-cooling tnt2s ... I bet the machine it was intended for had some kind of airflow - a push--pull systems cooling the whole case or something

I have a big 120mm case fan in the machine were I am using the card. For the record, this card have a great vga signal strength. Perfect for a Voodoo setup. 😜

Compaq made a lot of PCs and Creative Labs sold the same card as retail, so I would say it is as common as any other TNT2 Ultra 32mb AGP

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

Just kidding, if its a OEM Compaq card it's probably not that rare, but I have not seen it before that I recall.

I have one. It's not quite identical because it has only VGA out, but it's close. I don't know about rare, but any TNT2 Ultra with passive cooling is a keeper.
