I have a few Voodoo-3 AGP cards I wan to add fans too.
What is the best way to add a small but effective fan to these cards ?

I used an old fan and heat-sink from a 486, cemented with a very very thin layer of epoxi glue.
The command-line interface is a vestige of an era of macho computing.

Fortunately AGP version does not require glue. Just a new fancy copper cooler.
I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

I think it should be easy to attach 50 or 60mm fan directly to the original heatsink using zip ties for example.... if you don't mind the extra slot occupied and less than perfect look of such solution.

I have used aviation lacing tape (basically just waxed twine) to affix fans. Heck, I use it in place of zip ties 99% of the time. If you're good at tying it, the stuff is stronger and holds tighter than zip ties.

I tried the method that PhilsComputerLab proposed in one of his videos, the one when you use two screws to add a 60mm fan.
It worked just fine at the beggining, however the fan started making noise (old crappy fan, the only one had around that was the correct size). I had to replace the fan but the card had some scratches to it, not a major problem but it bothers me that i scratched my beloved Voodoo 3000 😀
As a substitution I have the case laying on one side with a 140mm fan on top of the top of the voodoo.
I've been looking at these and most likely order one:

I was thinking maybe a Fan attached to the Voodoo card with some zip ties. I do not want to try to remove the old heat sink because I do not want to take the chance of damaging the GPU. These are attached to the PCB board with solder balls which are known to fail. If I have to pry off the heat sink I am afraid to brake the solder ball welds.
