Hello, I have the chance to get 2 Radeon X1950 XTX cards, same model but different brands (they are visually the same, ati reference with that huge blowing fan).
I found contradictories information about the chance to make them work in crossfire.
It is mentioned a so called master card, but I can't understand if it is a special model or it was just a plain card bundled with the needed cable.
About the cable I am unable to find it, does anyone knows if it works without it?

Thanks.

Two 1950XTX can work both in software Crossfire and hardware Crossfire. Software mode does not require any cables, but limited to AFR method and worse in general.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

the master card is special model kinda, yes, it has a special connector, you need one of these and one regular. BTW I'm looking for a x1950 xtx crossfire edition card as well, but not finding any...

The crossfire cable is on eBay. I bought two of these kits a while back.
