Hey all, just got me a laptop with MagicGraph 128XD - unfortunately.
I can confirm, no smooth scrolling on Jazz Jackrabbit, and the weird scrolling happens on Keen 4. Frustrated about this, generally, that this graphics chip is so pervasive in laptops of the era. Enough said
Yeah they were pretty solid for Windows GUI acceleration but that's all. It would have been nice to see their notebook centric chip support LCD scaling too.
Does SciTech Display Doctor help at all for DOS?
Alright so I just tried univbe and it made no difference in Jazz. Still that jittery shake on scrolling. My graphics card was detected by UNIVBE according to the output after loading it so I was hopeful but no improvement. I can try display doctor later on.
Unfortunately UniVBE/SDD does not helps with scroll problem nor lagging because they not VBE related problems. I have tested all known tools on many problematic cards and none of them can help on Commander Keen or Jazz Jackrabbit.
