From the box, it looks like a dual vsa 100 solution with each vsa 100 having a 64mb vram pool.

It is fan-made... or photoshop box. There is no such thing as Voodoo5 5800 officially. Could be regular V5 5500 modded to 128MB and higher clock (183 - 200 MHz).
For example I have V4 4500 AGP modded to 64 MB and I call it 4800, co it could be similar here.

I have never heard of such a mod. I wonder how a 128mb v5 performs.

The 5800 is a upgraded Voodoo 5 5500 to 128Mb RAM and Overclocked with BIOS Modification.
Its made by a Guy named osckhar selling also modded Cards on Ebay and offering Repairs.
He also mods Cards if you pay for.

What does having 64MB per VSA let it run that it couldn't otherwise? In regards to either the 5800 or 4800 mentioned, should be very similar.
Old precedes antique.
