So I'm having an issue. New monitor has two DP and one HDMI. I have one DP machinr, two HDMI machines.

XP machine with 8800Gt was working great, but no DP only DVI to HDMI. And apparently DVI to DP is not a thing.

So I grab a spare 5770. It doesn't work. CD drive keeps seeking over and over. I go and grab another working 5770 I have. Same thing. Won't even show bios.

I go and get a 270x I have. Barely runs. Won't recognize drives. Slideshow.
Uninstall drivers.
I get a 750Ti I have. Total slideshow again.

What's going on here?

I thought these cards were compatible with XP. Is there some issue with socket 939, pci 1.0 and these new cards? What am I doing wrong?

I use a 5770 in an older s775 XP build and it works fine.

So the other cards are all pcie 3 and I'm gonna assume your using pcie 1.0 from the nforce4, pcie 3.0 isn't overly compatible with 1.0, it is with 1.1 however. See if you can find a later 939 board built with nforce500 that has proper 1.1 support. Asrock made a few boards for 939 from nforce500 to AMD780G
