is the earliest usually the best? or the very next one?

IMO the driver that works best for what you're doing is the best one. Sometimes an older driver will solve an issue, sometimes a newer one will. Very early Nvidia drivers seem to work better with older hardware.

i tried that driver it seems to be too old no 6200 support will try next one

it seems none of those have 6200 I don't think they are full driver packs

any other download links for 66.94 that includes 6200 support none of the ones I find will finish the download they all crash or never download

No 6200.. 🤔 am I downloading the non full driver or is it just too early of a driver

The 6200 is supported (and the 6600/6880). The readme is just not updated. Look at the bottom of NVAGP.INF file.

I tried both of those versions (though not the specifically the vogons downloads) it said standard graphics adapter in device manager after install I’m not home atm to try the vogons ones specifically but those versions didn’t install the 6200 driver when downloaded elsewhere.

I think your problem is that the PCI version of the 6200 was released several years after the AGP and PCI-E version. The GPU is the same though so just force install the older drivers.
