I recently saw this listing on ebay after buying a Tandy 1000EX: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/253407215602?hash=ite … gAAAOSwRVJftD46
I can't afford an RGBi monitor at the moment, but this is at least close to my price range. I am very interested in getting a nice crisp VGA CRT monitor connected to it, which are still relatively cheaper (and which I have), but if these are crap, I might as well just try saving up for an RGBi monitor.

Has anyone had experiences with these?
I'd be very interested to hear how well they work.

so those can actually be made into quite a capable scaler with custom firmware BUT they don't actually support TTL RGBI!!

yes, despite the name they do not handle CGA or EGA, only analog RGB

If you add necroware's MCE adapter https://github.com/necroware/mce-adapter it should work quite well !

There is also very interesting attempt (using Rapberry Pi) here MDA/CGA/EGA/VGA to HDMI using Raspberry Pi Zero

my man scorp really loves reinventing the wheel 🤣, this appears to be exactly the same as the GGLabs unit

this is what I would recommend

a far more elegant solution for using TTL RGB on modern displays than converting it to analogue, digitizing it with the GBS, scaling it, and converting it back to analogue
