Hello, I’m interested in a aftermarket single slot cooler for my 9800 pro. Any suggestions? Noise levels are a concern.

Noise levels are a concern.

Zalman had passive cooler - ZM80. But there are some others, including early Thermaltake and Thermalright solutions.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

I see a gold one but it’s a dual slot with back.

I have room on the back, but no room on the front. The stock cooler is close to the next card.

While searching for an aftermarket cooler why not oil up the GPU, CPU, PSU and case fans? I had the same issue with my Radeon 9600 Pro in my Tualatin III-S with an AM2 socket cooler on it, but in truth it was the CPU cooler that was driving me nuts. Did that and it's like a whole other pc now

I’ve been having random crashes which I think I tracked down to the 9800 so I think I’m no longer looking for a cooler 🙁

But one of the nice radeon copper coolers that you see in the reviews would be nice but I can’t find any

Zalman ZM80C is what I used on my 9700 back in the day along with the optional fan that mounted on the side. Great cooler.

AFAIK, none of the good coolers for Radeon 9x00 are single slot.

the 9800xts and later x800 cards ati put some kinda beefy single slot all copper coolers on that for the time looked pretty cool. are they as good as anything after market i doubt but better then what came stock on a 9800 pro or none pro.
