Hi,

Is there any driver that would provide 320x240 16bit-color mode for games under win9x, for WD90C31 ?

Has anyone seen 320x240 16bit-color mode with WD90C31 ?

you can use the generic WD90C31 driver with it, it will work fine
the card has no special functions etc so nothing more is needed

Thanks keropi, but I can't find that either, and what I really want is the original driver anyway.

Actually what I really need is driver that would give me 320x240 16bit for games mode on win9x. Both win95 and win98 provide driver for this card, but minimum resolution is 640x480 16bit mode, which is too slow. And please don't tell that isa card is slow anyway. I can accept slow game on my p3 with this isa if 320x240, but 640x480 is unplayable, ~2-3 fps. I can select 320x240 16bit mode for games with my s3 pci, so can't vg-8000 do that with the right driver?

That's why I am looking for original driver.

Thanks PC Hoarder Patrol !
Unfortunately that driver also did not provide 320x240 16bit-color mode.

Is there any WD90C31 driver that can provide 320x240 16bit-color mode for games?

Has anyone seen such mode with WD90C31?

Isn’t there 3rd party utilities that let you create custom resolution profiles? I thought powerstrip let you do this, although I might be remembering incorrectly.

Check out DOSBox Distro:

a lightweight Linux distro (tinycore) which boots off a usb flash drive and goes straight to DOSBox.
