Sorry for the poor quality.
And is it worth buying?
Thanks for your time.

Jaton SIS305 32MB SDRAM AGP Video Card

Specifications

Product's Name: SiS-73AGP-32

Core Chipset: SiS 305, 128-bit 3D engine

Bus type: AGP 2x

Memory: 32MB SDRAM

is my guess, being a SiS GPU usually means its cheap nasty and likely not worth buying. (Its about equal to a TnT1 or possibly a low end TnT2, so pretty terrible and with horrible drivers)

Thanks for the info, skipping this one for sure.
Are there any sis cards worth buying though?

Depends. I would be interested just because full-size 305 cards are rare.

The Xabre 400 and 600 aren’t awful. Sure they aren’t as fast as their contemporaries of the day, but they aren’t unusably slow.

Well your avatar suggests that you maaaaaaaaaay just be a little interested in SiS components 🤣

This card has 64-bit memory interface so it may be the fastest of its kind 😉 Nevertheless, it will still be slower than the weaker Savage4 models 😉

True, 305's are not that easy to find nowadays.

Pop quiz, you want best performance in Unreal Tournament, what card do you install Voodoo 3 2000 or SiS 315? Both AGP.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

I wouldn't say they are not worth buying. If they don't clock too low and priced right, they are not terrible cards. Not particularly fast compared to their contemporaries, but you can expect decent compatibility and I think it's makes a rig more interesting, if it has a graphics card that is not something generic, like the TNT2 M64 or the Rage Pro Turbo.

The SiS because it (probably) has far more beautiful lightmaps 😀

Yeah and it's more like Radeon/Geforce SDRAM versions speeds. Every SiS GPU, it's like it would have been an actual contender released a year earlier 🤣 That and it didn't help that most implementations were severely penny pinched so there's not many cards where they run at full potential. 305s are another notch downward from there though.
