Hi,

Just 2 main problems.

Running W2K, i can't get a mouse to work when playing Leisure Suit Larry 6. I've installed both a win2k one as wel as an old dos one?

Also, when running dos games, i have no option to select soundblaster, or any sound card other than internal speaker. I have a Soundblaster Live card.

I'm new here, so maybe your sick of answering these questions, but if you could refer me to some solutions that would be cool!

Thanks
Simon

You first need to understand that there is no DOS in Win2K. The command line allows you to run most DOS programs.

Secondly, in Win2K no program is allowed access to hardware with going through the OS first. Unfortunately, that means _all_ DOS soundcard support is gone.

Fortunately, Vlad (the humble genius) has a solution for you in the form of VDMSound. Go to
https://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound/
And get this :
VDMSound-2.0.4-WinNT-i386.msi
Go here:
http://vdmsound.sourceforge.net/files/
and get these:
VDMSound.2.0.4.update1.zip
VDMSLaunchPad.v1.0.0.7.zip
Make sure to read the instructions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Run this:
VDMSound-2.0.4-WinNT-i386.msi

Please note the install location of the files. By default, this is:
C:\Program Files\VDMSound

Shutdown and restart (to be on the safe side).
---------------------------------------------------------------
Unzip this file:
VDMSound.2.0.4.update1.zip
to the previously mentioned location.
(Overwriting the older files).
---------------------------------------------------------------
Unzip this file to your Desktop (or any place you can easily find): VDMSLaunchPad.v1.0.0.7.zip

Inside it, Double-Click the install.bat file.

If it gives you a failure message, copy it down and post it in the VDMSound forum.
If you get a "success" message: Log off, then back on.
---------------------------------------------------------------
If you have questions on it, post them in the VDMSound forum.
