Hello!

I was recommended to this site if I wanted to know more about some old games I found in the attic.
I have 'The Software Toolworks CD ROM Challenge Pack Manual' with included CD. The CD is still in its shrinkwrap and has 'CD Challenge Pack IBM' on it followed by a long number. The games included are:
RoboCop 3D
F-29 Retaliator
Push-Over
EPIC
Paperboy 2
Might & Magic II
D/Generation
Contraption Zack
The Chessmaster

If someone could let me know a little more about my find, I would greatly appreciate it. 😀

It will probably help if you are more specific about the info you're looking for.

Thanks for the link.

I'm interested in the background behind these packs, mostly (such as how they were distributed). It would also be nice to know if it is collectible or not.

I imagine that the individual DOS games in original packaging are probably more collectible than a cdrom compilation, generally speaking.

For background and distribution info, emailing the guy who started the company is likely to yield more results than what anyone here could tell you.

Not necessarily. The pack was also available in retail.

There's also a variant with Life & Death II (instead of Paperboy 2 / F-29) and a similar variant with some Windows 3.1 games (Flak Attack/ Bot / Bubble Trouble / Mole)
