Hi
First post here.
I have the data from 3 old CD ROMs from 1990s. They are about genealogy - the data they contain is simply births, deaths and marriages from early Australia - from the 1800's mainly. I am looking to get that data from these discs put into a CSV (the data is freely available online nowadays).
They initially ran on a text only data viewer program called KAware. From what I can tell, KAware was simply a nice Windows UI for these DOS based CD ROM indexes. KAware is not specific just to these discs but was a widely used system for text based CD's.
A number of years ago, a clever programmer wrote an emulator to enable these discs top run on WinXP 32bit systems. Unfortunately, that programmer has since died. Some screenshots attached.
If these are some clever programming people here who might be able to get the data from these discs, I would like to talk to you.
I have the emulator and the 3 disc data sets on my google drive to provide if you can do crack these discs.
Thanks
