No in game music in either Crusaders of Might and Magic or Requiem Avenging Angel

I am running Windows 10 with latest update and drivers and Bo the Crusaders and Requiem run fine and have all environmental sounds, voice work, etc, but there is no in game music. I am playing the versions sold on GOG and have tried working with GOG customer support, but it does not seem like anything works. Both games are 3DO games and appear to be running the same engine or variations thereof. in the crusaders forum on GOG it seems other people on Windows 10 also get no in game music. Any help would be appreciated.

Running Requiem from the exe in admin mode fixes the music issue for it, but not Crusaders.

So music no longer playing in Requiem either again. Can't find the correct pattern to fix the issue.
