Lately I've been itching to play Hyperblade, I still have my copy that came bundled with my Diamond Monster 3D card.
The futuristic setting and gameplay which is a violent icehockey-jai alai hybrid is really unique and I wish someone would remake and improve this game.
Anyway a game where one of the athletes is a 75 year old grandma is pretty forward thinking. 🤣

But alas, when I want to install this, Windows pops up that it can't install 16bits programs. 😢
I've seen some information where people got to run it on Dosbox with Windows 95 but I was hoping to get a better experience by using DgVoodoo 2 or nGlide.
Has anyone got any success running this game?

Patching the game is fairly essential:

It will still have rendering issues, there are three different ways to fix those:

  1. dgVoodoo2 (broken menus, can force resolution)
  2. DxWnd
  3. Peixoto (recommended, can force resolution)

It also won't play back CD audio properly, both _inmm and Peixoto's patcher can fix that.

Thanks, ZellSF! 😀

I copied the contents from the CD directly to the harddrive and after patching and applying dgVoodoo 2 it worked, even the CD music played.
The menu's and the ingame GUI are heavily glitched though, I will try some settings to see what can be done about that.
By the way does anyone know of commandline parameters that can be used for this game? With -x you can run it in software mode for example but that's the only one I could find.
