The only way to make it work after it freezes in a video is to use alt + tab to minimize it and then maximize it.

Did you remove the compatibility mode? Compatibility modes and DxWnd usually don't get along.
In the end, the problem for which the videos were locked was due to having the compatibility mode activated in windows98/me I have deactivated it and the game ran perfectly, without using DxWnd's.
In the end I do not know why I had activated it to compatibility mode if it was not necessary for it to work
