It Goes like this:
As I was trying to play this one -which appears to be based on FIA's European Truck Racing Championship. Go Figure!- and go thorough the in-game controller settings, It doesn't work with my XONE (as in XBOX One) gamepad as it can't detect it, pretty much to my dismay. I was wondering if there's a good workaround to enable them and give this cool racer a good spin thorough its paces. #PleaseHelp

You'll be needing an Xinput to DirectInput emulator/converter.
Try to Google them as there are several but I myself never had the need for them.

I've tried every single Dinput-to-Xinput emulator that ive got in my "arsenal" including XOutput, which appears to be the newest one to date.
It appears to be some sort of hardcoded fuss going on in there, if the game's registry entries are something to go by. Let's try it on Windows 95 compatibility to be sure......
UPDATE: Nope. Didn't work either

Maybe get an older gamepad which supports DirectInput.
I've got a couple of old Logitech gamepads (Dual Analog, Rumblepad 2) and they work fine with older games and I can even use them with Xinput games when I use x360ce.
If you get one of the F series they support both DirectInput and Xinput by simply flipping a switch.
