I have Geforce 6150 and can not find vesa or svga text modes. Do you know any application which could show me them?

I tried vgatest.exe and it has vesa text at no. 8 position but none modes are found.

I need text mode: 1024x768 at 16 colors (may be more colors) for my Linux console. Vesa gfx modes are very slow.

1024x768x16 must be a GRAPHIC MODE, not TEXT.

Pretty sure Geforce cards have good support for all the vesa modes, and they run the normal real DOS text mode fine.
Anyways below are the videomodes that used to be available in the DOS era (my self-made list of some years ago). I would be suprised if they invented new 'text-modes' after that.

Not integrated Geforces. I have Geforce 6150 (integrated on Asus A8N-VM CSM mobo) and vga graphics in fire & ice game http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/fire-ice is like a bit soup (it worked OK on MSI Geforce FX5200). I asked Asus to fix vbios but they refused: "DOS not supported". So quality of DOS modes depends on vbios manufacturer kindness not GPU. I even do not know which screen mode the game is using during game play. Fire and Ice is the only DOS game which displays junk on poorly designed cards so it is nice for compatibility testing.

The best way for me is to switch off integrated GF6150 (however it is nice if you do not need advanced text mods or rare DOS graphics modes) and buy discrete one.
