Does anyone have any experience with the Windows version of EmulationStation?

I am trying to get ScummVM set up but at the moment it is beating me.

I have added all my games and created my .svm files named with the internal ScummVM game ID, so monkey.svm for example.

The games will not launch.

This is my entry in my es-systems.cfg for ScummVM

<system>
<name>scummvm</name>
<fullname>ScummVM</fullname>
<path>X:\ROMS\ScummVM</path>
<extension>.svm</extension>
<command>X:\Emulators\ScummVM\scummvm.exe "%ROM_RAW%"</command>
<platform>scummvm</platform>
<theme>scummvm</theme>
</system>

I get this error in the log file

Mar 23 22:18:51 lvl2: req sound [detailed.launch]
Mar 23 22:18:51 lvl2: (missing)
Mar 23 22:18:52 lvl2: Attempting to launch game...
Mar 23 22:18:52 lvl2: getting volume as 10 ( from float 0.1)
Mar 23 22:18:52 lvl2: X:\Emulators\ScummVM\scummvm.exe "X:\ROMS\ScummVM\monkey.svm"
Mar 23 22:18:53 lvl1: ...launch terminated with nonzero exit code 1!

Can anyone help?

My System: SuperMicro P6SBA Motherboard, Win98SE, PIII 600Mhz, 256MB Ram, Voodoo 5 5500, SB AWE 64 Gold Sound Card, Roland LAPC-I

OK cracked it!

Just in case anyone else comes across this issue, I found the solution here, https://github.com/HerbFargus/Portable-Game-S … on/wiki/Scummvm

It is a very simple solution really, instead of .svm files you simply create a bat file, so in my case (using monkey island as an example) I created a .bat file with the following...

X:\Emulators\ScummVM\scummvm.exe -c X:\Emulators\ScummVM\scummvm.ini monkey

I then edited my es-systems.cfg file like this...

<system>
<name>scummvm</name>
<fullname>ScummVM</fullname>
<path>X:\ROMS\ScummVM</path>
<extension>.bat .BAT</extension>
<command>"%ROM_RAW%"</command>
<platform>scummvm</platform>
<theme>scummvm</theme>
</system>

I then had to change my gamelist.xml file to change the game entry from monkey.svm to monkey.bat

I now have a fully working ScummVM setup in Emulation Station!
