I wonder why you didn't noticed console message?

Because I run DOSBox with the "-noconsole" command.

Why? For some weird reason, most of the time if I try running DOSBox without that command, DOSBox simply starts up, and then immediately shuts down... no error message, no helpful information in DOSBox's generated text logs, nothing.

Not to mention, if DOSBox is locked up hard as a rock (as it was doing, like I posted previously), chances are that I most likely would NOT be able to bring up the console message window in the first place 😉

Also, under normal circumstances (e.g. if DOSBox hadn't locked up hard), would the console message have mentioned anything about using "loadfix"?

Which is the one with the files namely, mosaic.exe house.bmp birds.bmp files etc?

What you're refering to would be "Creative Mosaic"... which was a Windows 3.x game that highlighted the new (at the time) "QSound" surround sound capabilites of the SB16/AWE32 (cards that had a ASP/CSP chip (Advanced Signal Processor/Creative Signal Processor) installed).

P.S. FWIW, Creative Mosaic will NOT run on any PC unless it has a TRUE SB16/AWE32 sound card (with above-said chip).
