Hello,

i want to use windows 98 under Dosbox 0.74. I made my own image of hdd using application Bochs. In my .img file is installed windows 98 and also some applications and it is formated as FAT. The image file has 2GB size. I tried to boot my image file using these commands:

imgmount c "c:\images\windows98.img"
c:
boot -l c

It didn`t return any errors. But it return line "Booting from drive C..." and nothing else is happened. Then it freezes.

I can use the image with Bochs, but not with Dosbox. Please, help me. Thanks for replies.

But Dosbox can run on my Android phone and also is better. I want to try some apps with my phone.

Install windows 9x from within dosbox. But that is not supported and you will need to find out how on your own.

Maybe check the stuff about fs none in the readme, though 2gb may be too much anyways. Good size should be 200mb.

Dominus: I tried to install windows from within Dosbox. I mounted my .img file, which i wanted to install on. I also mounted .iso image with install files of windows 98 and started setup.exe from it. I get these lines:

"

"

I pressed ENTER but nothing happened.

wd: But i need 1GB for my apps at least.

Bad luck then, though no idea which game would need that much that would run on your system.

Windows 9x isn't supported in DOSBox

We also do not provide a build of DOSBox that works on android.

Ask wherever you got your build of DOSBox for android from.
