Quick question:
Is there an option anywhere to move the main config file and capture folder back into the DOSBox folder in C:\Program Files like it used to be without having to mod the source myself? I'm on XP anyway so write access there isn't an issue.

I like to keep things organized with all of a program's files and configs in a single folder rather than have to sift through loads of crap in %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data to find things. I usually forget that folder when doing backups (I do them manually) and accidentally lost my configs and captures the last time I reformatted because of it.

If you are running as a standard user (as you should be) then you shouldn't be able to write to program files......

If you want to (wrongly) use program files to store config files and capture then simply create a capture folder in the dosbox directory and move the dosbox config to the same directory as dosbox.exe in the dosbox directory

Do not use the shortcuts in the start menu since they use switches to store your data in your user profile.

Always backup the entire Documents and Settings folder when doing backups.
