Okay, now I know this game is dog-old but I have had an issue that I can't seem to find the solution to. I hope someone has the answer cause I sure don't.
Here is the info:
1. Mainboard: ASUS P8H61 PLUS LGA 1155
2. CPU: Intel i5-2300 2.80 GHz
3. RAM: 2x DDR3 4GB RAM (8GB)
4. Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForece GT 430, 1GB DDR3 128-bit
5. Sound Card: Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit
6. Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
7. Game: Phantasmagoria 2 - Puzzle of Flesh
8. Problem: its claiming that it does not have enough memory to complete its function/script or whatever.
9. Reproducibility: Always
10. Sound Mode Used: Not certain what is asked here, Midi or Sound Blaster (Wn32) according to Dosbox
11. Video Mode Used: Direct3D or (Overlay as far as dos-box is concerned) at 1600x1200
12. Emulator: DosBox 0.74
13. Steps attempted to solve: Increasing/decreasing the amount of memory Dosbox has including values specified in the readme.
Other: I must point out that to install the 'dos' version I have installed it with a installer from http://www.sierrahelp.com/Patches-Updates/New … stallers.html#P which uses Endroz's "CD-less" play. (I then moved it to my own Dosbox folder)
The previous phantasmagoria which was installed in the same way worked completely fine.
This problem occurs at the same point every time, which is during or when it would normally end I guess after the detective comes knocking on the door and stomps on in Craig's home after which it crash every time after that.
The message the follows is this: Out of memory: Need=4249615817 got=14660400 freeLocked=1178604 WAVE_Res=2941 atr=0000860c last=2941.wav Script# 63016 ($fed891e8+)
I hope someone can help me out here. (Sorry if the post is long, messy or filled with information deemed unnecessary but I am new to the whole forum thing.)
