I am booting a disk image of the game The Seven Cities of Gold in dosbox 0.74.

I have been playing with different cpu types. With CGA I get color graphics and pc beeps. With PCJR however I get black and white graphics with really nice synthesized music.

Is there any way to get both?

Edit1:

Also, the game appears to require a map disk. Is there actually a second disk that I am missing, or is this an emulation issue?

Yep, the booter comes on two disks. I don't know if Tandy/PCJr should have color graphics, though mine's in black&white as well.

wow, thats a bummer. Back to eBay to hopefully find a copy with both disks....

It might be relying on composite output (for artifact colors) - DOSBox currently supports this only for CGA. AFAIK there's no known good dump of this game in existence.
