I use Startpage myself. Just put Opera on my Zorin Linux. How do I get to private browsing? The interface looks limited.

if you value you privacy stop using search engines, or the internet for that matter. Go read your ISP ToS, you will be very scared.

Well, I personally don't give a darn about my privacy. Google/Facebook/etc. could know my whole life and I couldn't care less; if I wanted them in the dark I wouldn't visit their websites. [the gov't is different though as they have claimed the power to snoop without me doing anything...but I still don't care about that, either, except on principle.]

They could still track you using the methods in the article I noted above. In fact, a user with a DOS browser would be so conspicuous you'd stand out prominently in anyone's server logs.
