Let’s discuss/learn more about Schneider’s Funbox.

For the many not familiar with it, Schneider was selling a gaming package at the time of EuroPC. It consisted of the analog joystick itself obviously, a two-port game card, a 16-page manual and a “Funbox Game-Disc”.

Mine came with a EuroPC I purchased. The contents are no secret to Schneider fans, it’s the game Bad Cat (aka Street Cat).

Question #1: The commercial/proper release in addition to Hercules and CGA (yes, another native Hercules game!), definitely also supported EGA/VGA. Screenshots, pc version box art and my, emm research leave no doubt. The Funbox disk I have only has the Hercules/CGA files and consequently only works in these modes. Can anyone owing the disk confirm that this is how it’s supposed to be? Since the EuroPCs were only sold with a Hercules or a CGA color monitor it seems logical that the included version is like that, just wanted to make sure that my disk isn’t missing any files because someone back then made room on it.

Question #2: Has anyone heard about “Funbox II”? I hadn’t, until I saw this:

There is no reference anywhere about it and I’m starting to believe it was the exact same package and game disk, but with two joysticks. That’s just my theory of course, it would be great to learn more about it. Like the exact contents and if any different/additional software was included.
