Seagate is now selling refurbished disk drives. It has set up an official storefront on eBay as a direct channel for consumers to access factory-certified hard drives as part of the Seagate Circularity Program. Seagate says it’s committed to enabling the secure reuse of storage devices and reducing hard drive shredding. Hard drive shredding entails breaking down a hard drive into tiny pieces so that data cannot be recovered. As rare earth materials contained in those parts cannot be reused, hard drive shredding harms the environment and is not sustainable.

Updated my main system.
Added B850M motherboard. (Replacing B650M)
Added AMD 9950x3d (Replacing 7950x)
Inverted the Sama IM01 case
The now bottom case fans were changed to intake
The rear fan was changed to exhaust
The CPU fans were changed to blow towards exhaust
The bottom intake fans blow upwards hitting the mobo, RAM, CPU fan intake and GPU.

I might have room to deshroud the GPU but I ran a test all night and GPU was steady at a constant 70c and the case is at my feet so noise isn't a thing so not much point.

Been testing eGPU with my framework laptop as backup if my main desktop goes down or if I go somewhere and for some reason need a GPU (not likely) since all these GPUs do is gather dust until I use them for game testing.

Below was tested with Stalker 2:
Initially slapped a 7900xtx in there but my success rate with AMD and passthrough to VMs isn't great so expected the same and was disappointed as usual. 100% egpu usage and performance was about the same as the internal GPU which was sloooooooooooooooow.
Switched to a 3060 v2 which was much better but not for Stalker 2.
Switched to a 3080 and this was much better still slower than I expected so I assumed mabye it was the adapter card or TB3 but checking some benchmarks online this is roughly the performance of a 3080.......when I come down from my ivory tower where my 9950x3d w/ 4080 resides it's a bit of an adjustment. 😀

Added "PCIe 4.0 x4 to Oculink External SFF-8612 Adapter Card for eGPU Dock Mimi Pc" to each system in the op.
This replaces a previous Oculink card where the connection was internal with no bracket whereas this one is external with a bracket.
Also the Intel system didn't have a card where now it does for when I want to use a egpu with it.

Purchased a Corsair SF1000 to replace the SF750 in my Sama IM01.
Purchased another Fractal Ridge case as a eGPU case. Stuffed the SF750 in there along with a Nvidia 3060 for 7+ compatibility testing.

Figured out the issue with the slow 7900XTX as a eGPU with the Framework laptop.
I was testing without a power cable, plug it in and performance jumped up considerably.
