That's no "information". These jumpers directly change the voltage routes coming from the voltage regulator(s) and going to the CPU.

No, I don't think so. The current needed by the 486 cpu won't be routed via a jumper 😁

The current obviously doesn't flow via jumpers.

These jumpers are a part of an adjustable voltage regulator circuit where you need to create a reference voltage for the regulator. That's typically the role of these two jumpers + some resistors. Often there are more levels supported or the chosen solution might have a good reason for having multiple jumpers.

I've seen many different ways of configuring the voltage. Two jumpers is a very common and IMHO by far the most common on a 486.
