Hi @all!

I would like to present my Retro PCs. I'm not kinda x86 retro systems lover ( Commodore&Amiga <3 ) but anyway as a hardcore gamer, games for PC were still very nice for DOS/WinX in 80s/90s... Retro rigs listed in nest posts!

* Made some changes in my 1st post to keep this topic clean&tidy 😉

Yes I did. TNT2 was causing problems on this mobo, but on the 2nd it's running 100% OK.

What do you think of the Rage Pro?
I never ended up using one (partially because of their relatively bad rep and because I had plenty alternatives at the time) but in the old days these Rage cards were all over the place.

Same here Tetrium + I always thought that ATi is some under-party with lower quality cards - my mistake. I used to have Matrox, Nvidia, Voodoo, S3 cards back in 90s but never tried ATi - and it's a shame, because now I can see that this card is just great -stable, working with voodoo2 = no issues, games seems to LIKE IT, more over good resolution modes and VERY sharp image ... so in conclusion= BIG PLUS ++++++++ !!!!

[Hmmmm addiction? can't be!]

There it is.. #3 PC, This time a Laptop Toshiba T4850CT.
Specs: https://usermanual.com/document/7530/toshiba- … cification.html
In short:
3.3V SL enhanced i486 DX4 75MHz (16KB internal cache; integrated math coprocessor)
10.4" full-color Active Matrix, Thin Film Transistor (TFT) color LCD that displays 640 x 480 pixels.
RAM memory: 8MB /(expandable to 40MB)
internal 2.5-inch 500 MB HDD.
supports 2 HD (1.44 MB) floppy disks and 2DD (720 KB) floppy disks.
Audio System 16 bit sound (Analog Devices AD1848KP & Yamaha OPL3)
2MB VGA GPU

Yes.... it's an 486 with (S)VGA and a soundcard ...... 😉

All in good shape (as for 25+yrs) The only issue is the "P10 error" displayed on the small lcd panel and You can't run it in normal way... So I'll have to dissasemble this rig and check out caps (P10 stands for too high voltage).

Lol these vintage PCs do multiply quickly.. Very nice horizontal case, I kinda wish that form factor would come back in vogue somehow, for us who use optical drives/bays still.

Yeahhh... My wife started asking for divorce lately 😁

Those cases were great back days. In my modern PC I need to change the housing too but there is a major problem - 8 out 10 doesn't have 5.25" bays anymore ... WTF???? So the market is forcing me to buy one that doesn't meet my stylish requirements but has space for cdrom .... 🤣

Why that Samsung MP 741 as Monitor ?

941mp is great, good quality made, nice looking pixels, wide resolutions support, very loud speakers and multiple connectors! Dsub, dvi, jack, cinche, svideo, scart...... ( it's a TV!)

Yes I know that...and it displays 50hz via s-video and perhaps scart, so no or very view stuttering on horizontal scrollers on c64! (most TFT's do stutter on this! I tested some and all were bad, except this MP7xx Series.
