I am trying to use a controller I have... it's a regular USB controller that is almost exactly like a playstation 2 controller. When I start DOSBox I get the message:
Using Joystick USB 4-Axis 12-button Gamepad with 4 Axes and 12 Buttons.

That sounds exactly right, but when I go to play games, Only 2 buttons actually work. I have tried multiple games and it is the same 2 buttons that work every time. Can anyone please give me some advice on how to get my controller to work?
Thanks,
EvilJebus

dos supported only 2 buttons 😀

gravis used a hack to get 4 buttons by stealing 2 buttons from joystick 2

then it was no default joystick.

anyway the cvs version of dosbox support some "weirder" joysticks
(like 4 button and one hat like thing)
look at the development forum for CVS builds. (you need to tinker in the configfile then as well a bit)
