I should be getting it maybe by Monday, I just 'won' it on EBay.
I was curious as to how much trouble it'll be to get running...
I was always fond of that game, I don't even think the PC version has copy protection,,,the C64 version made you use the manual, which I lost in a basement flood, although I'm sure I could find it on the net if I took some time...

I figured if I could buy the PC version for $6 *which I won with* it would be worth it, and yes that included shipping...

Any suggestions on getting it running are appreciated...

😁

It works perfectly in DOSBox, without any special configuration.

The PC version also makes you check the manual.

The VGA version does, I don't recall ever having sound on the EGA version on my 12MHz 286 with EGA. That was nearly 20 years ago, though.

My 1988 EGA version play digitised sounds just fine under DOSBox 0.70 - I have never seen a VGA version. Game uses 16 EGA colours. I don't know about the video mode used, though.

There is no intro music or movement sounds in the EGA version. There are battle sounds. The VGA version has all three.

I got it today, and after fudging with the 60 second guide, I got it running.
It was an OEM version and didn't use documentation protection.
I just had to install the CD and mount the CD as a CDROM/
