Is there any tool or any sort to tweak the composite output? It's hard trying to get sharp 720x480 output from a Rage128 like I was able to accomplish with the Voodoo3 3000.
Another problem is that it defaults to a fuzzy blurry 'ice' signal for any other resolution than the desktop's, and on restart

Make sure to use a very high quality composite cable. Preferably, from a manufacturer who guarantees a 75-ohm impedance. I hooked up someones TV flone time, and they had a thick, high-quality composite cable that made for a better picture than my cheap component cables. This is going to be very important if your card has weak signal.

I doubt it has to do with having a weak signal. I've used the same cable to produce this sharp video.

Well, it can never hurt to have a great composite cable. Was that video at the same resolution you're trying to produce, now?
