there a plenty of socket a boards with the same issue (agp gart issues)

While there are indeed fast-writes and GART troubles on some SiS and Via chipset/bios combos from s462 times, what I was referring to is a peculiar win98-specific GART problem sighted on s754 with VIA chipsets. (see this post by user Repo Man11)

I see no problem, from ~10000 points with a Intel D925 in winXP to ~9500 points with a Sempron 3100+ in win98SE. It's the same videocard. The s754 board has also the latest bios installed (F12).

That's interesting. What is the board model?

It's stated in my first post, Gigabyte K8VT800M rev.1 which looks like a Gigabyte K8VM800M rev.1 and the K8VT800M rev.2 looks the same as a K8VM800M rev.2. The rev 2 of those boards looks different in the cpu vrm , have no place on the board for the optional firewire controller and have the VT8237R SB (rev.1 has the VT8237). My board came (for cheap) with a defective vrm (upper mos on stage 1 shorted and was shorting again after replacement/power up so i had to replace the HIP6602BCP driver also).

The issue described in that thread doesn't affect every single Socket 754 motherboard with a VIA chipset. From what we've seen so far, it varies based on the chipset type and BIOS version. This was investigated quite thoroughly by @bloodem and described here.

The easiest way to test for the bug is to dual boot Win98SE and WinXP and then run 3D Mark 2001SE, using the same (or very similar) driver version on each OS. If the bug is present, the score under Win98SE will be halved compared to WinXP. It can also be checked by benchmarking games like Quake 2 on each OS and comparing the results. In that case, the difference is most noticeable in lower resolutions like 640x480.

PC#1: Pentium MMX 166 / Soyo SY-5BT / S3 Trio64V+ / Voodoo1 / YMF719 / AWE64 Gold / SC-155
PC#2: AthlonXP 2100+ / ECS K7VTA3 / Voodoo3 / Audigy2 / Vortex2
PC#3: Athlon64 3400+ / Asus K8V-MX / 5900XT / Audigy2
PC#4: i5-3570K / MSI Z77A-G43 / GTX 970 / X-Fi

Probably they changed the design of the motherboards to be able to use K8T800 PRO chips that didn't make it (flaws in the silicon die) so they don't have to scrap them and to replace the K8T800 ones when the stock was out.

What about this? Is this an alternative choice to an real ISA Slot?!

Looks like its only gaining you a few further generations to work with and you need to do so much work to get it set up. Also it looks like there are issues as demonstrated by Quake and Lemmings. Since you can max out all dos games with MBs that actually support ISA natively I really don't see much of a benefit to this.
