Oh my, now I also bought a lot of 20 main boards incl. an XT one. 🤣

Got those today. Only three really interesting boards: a Slot 1, a Turbo XT (complete with RAM, CPU, and FPU), and a 286 with Headland chipset and 16 MHz CPU. Also two 386 boards, but both damaged by battery. Will take CPU, FPU, and SRAM chips from those and toss them. They are beyond repair.

Rest is modern crap. May keep some of the modern ones still.

So this is what I scored lately for not even 100 bucks:

Don't just throw away stuff because its too new for you. Today's modern is tomorrow's retro.

Sorry. I had just made an assumption. I know alot of members here don't like dealing with actually selling stuff (for understandable reasons)

Managed to find 😲

Hope it works as it was sold as untested.

You sir are the only other person I know to have one of these... we ourselves are in a very small but exclusive club together... 🤣

🤣

This is quite a surprise. Didn't know it was so rare 😲

Requests are also possible... /msg kixs

Got my first GA-486AM/S and put it through its paces. I used the standard Am486-40/160mhz combo with all settings max and it scored 1150 rtics in Doom shareware - 64fps+ which secures it the third place among the fastest 486s in Doom(at least according to the "Doom benchmark results" site).

50mhz with all settings max runs great but under 60/66 the board stops after "Starting PcDos"... no matter what. It's equipped with a Riva128 and a SBLive! 4830(if I remember correctly) which plays back sfx-samples fine but the Wavetable functionality is compromised.
Still better though than in the Hot433 where the card hang when midi was enabled. Most likely a PCI issue which does not occur when an older VGA card is installed along it instead of a newer one.

Also this (among many other things). Man, I really really hope it works. It was on a top shelf with a bunch of saw dust and other crap on top of it and more falling from the ceiling. 😵

Clean it up first before turning it on! You never know what's inside, it's HV so it might short pretty easily and make the thing FUBAR.

Well, the 5154 kinda worked. The horizontal sync seems off as the text judders and is unreadable. It probably needs new caps to fix it. On the other hand, all the other screens and PC's in the lot (Canon A-200, 5151 and 386/486) worked just fine. This AT model keyboard was also there, as well as a brand new mini tower with a PSU. 😊

edit: Oh, and those are just (Scandinavian key) stickers on the keys. The hats are not THAT worn out.

Excellent find, the day I found one I got the magic smoke from a blown line suppression capacitor. I even remember the sound it made when it blew. Luckily it was an easy fix. You probably knew this but I learned after I got it that the middle knob can be pulled out to adjust contrast if need be.

Some additions to my Microsoft collection. Only two of them contain hardware; WSS V1. 0, and WfW additional user pack.
