I just noticed that for some reason, the newest version as well as the beta of HWINFO thinks that the 9700k in my htpc for some reason is an engineering sample when I got it from Microcenter and is an R0 based 9700k.

file.php?mode=view&id=88584

It shows "Prod. unit", but QDF number instead of SSPEC. So your CPU is OK. Shall be fixed in the next build.

Thanks 😀

Results from new beta:

Had to zip the HTM because this stupid forum won't let me attach it. DBG(log).

1. Monitor is simply the saved information from some INF but the installed monitor is not this. It's a Sylvania L17.

2. This is all that shows up in sensors. I guess there aren't many sensors. Think you would have SMART or something.

3. Here is the summary now.

On the memory sheet, memory has this "detected size" but unknown "total size" for some reason...

Thanks! The Trident card seems to be properly recognized now. Information like SMART will require copying a VXD within the WINDOWS folder. I don't recall now the exact path, but I think it has been detailed in the SIV thread.
As for the monitor, I will need registry dump of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ENUM\MONITOR node.

Thank you too. I'm not following the SIV thread, so I'll just leave it there.

Here's the MONITOR node. As you can see, there's a default, the Sony one, and then the Sylvania. However only the Sony appears as a monitor in HWiNFO, and I promise you it isn't the installed monitor. Maybe nothing you can do but FWIW.

Not really vintage, but i found an interesting misreport which happens when you try to run hwinfo on a rare EM64T enabled Socket 478 Prescott (SL7QB 3.2 GHz and SL7Q8 3.4 GHz) which reports the wrong S-Spec

Thanks, those SSPECs seem really rare, I can't find them in the extended/NDA Intel database nor documents.
I will update this in the next build.

IBM PS/2 Server 95/A HWInfo for DOS readout that @Mumak requested in the SIL thread

Wj3I3c1.jpg

2wUxXpQ.jpg

4y7NzAX.jpg

8Sam2Pr.jpg

Few things to note:

Succesfully detected my AdLib clone and dual 2.88 mb floppy drives
VGA screen was bugged as you see in the picture, no amount of auto adjust would fix it. All other screens appear normally. Graphics card is an IBM XGA/2 1MB (standard for this machine IIRC)

After I ran it I restarted back into Windows 95 mode from real mode DOS and it appears my BIOS settings were corrupted. This doesn't happen ever and occured after I used HWInfo for DOS. Reconfiguring with reference disk of course fixed it. The particular error was "Complex configuration error or not valid"

Thanks! I'm not sure what exactly is causing the corruption, it might be among a 1000 things in some detection. One would need to open only one particular screen in HWiNFO and check which of them causes the corruption to narrow down the search a bit.
Could you please run HWiNFO with -d -r switches to capture all screens + debug data again? I'm especially curious about the MCA screen details. Also if you could provide the Video BIOS image of the adapter, I would check how to detect/workaround it.
