My P3BF v. 1.04 dont have the Jumper free/Manual header.
Theres other way to enable or just my mobo revision?
Tee BIOS vrsion is 1006.
How i will set the dip switches for later cpus like pIII 800mhz or 1ghz?
The manual at ASUS site only show for p3 600 and below.

Retro rig 1: Asus CUV4X, VIA c3 800, Voodoo Banshee (Diamond fusion) and SB32 ct3670.
Retro rig 2: Intel DX2 66, SB16 Ct1740 and Cirrus Logic VLB.

Jumperfree will be set when ALL dipswitches are set to ''off''. Settings should be available in bios after that.

If it doesn't work just use the switches? It's way easier than using jumpers on other boards....

The jumperfree block sits just above the control panel at the right side. It is marked with [JEN] and there is a blue jumper installed on pin 1 and 2. Move the jumper to pin 2 and 3 for jumperfree mode and adjust the dipswitches in the blue block as indicated bij Meljor.

Yup... missed the JEN jumper part but that's right.

BTW, the 800mhz cpu should be multiplier locked so just plug it in and make sure it gets the right 1.7v-1.8v and it should work unless your bios version doesn't support that core (in that case upgrade bios version).

I have a Asus P3 board and the jumper free mode does not work with all processors (the P3 550 E series I had issues with). Be sure to reset the BIOS if you cannot get the new cpu to POST.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

The P3B-F manuals cover three versions of the board: no ISA, 1x ISA and 2x ISA.
Your board has 2x ISA and does not correspond 100% with the graphics in the 1.04 manual.
