Yes you can although I've never tried it myself.
I could flash a chip for you but I need to find where I stored my chips. It also depends where you're from because the shipping cost may not be very interesting if you're too far (I'm in France).

I’m in usa. You seem pretty experienced with it so if you have the right chip I’d love to take you up on the offer. If the price is right. Can you put it in a small box in a small envelope to make it cheap?

Do not buy the cheapest ones ! Get a real TL866ii plus direct from XGecu: http://www.xgecu.com/en/
Ebay: search for: xgecu then make sure: xgecupro is the seller. They have shipping from either China or USA , if in US pick the US shipped.

Thanks for this advice. Located them on ebay AU (item: 192725987183) and to my surprise, they're not the most expensive seller!

That is exactly what I bought. With the 13 adapters. For us old PC guys only about 5 or 6 of those adapters are useful so far but as time goes more of them will become useful.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Could Uniflash be used to dump the wavetable ROM of a sound card?

One of these (wavetable at top centre): Re: Bought these (retro) hardware today

good idea! people who know will probably want to see the numbers on the chip

I’ve spent the whole day trying different things to get the bios flashed again and have failed finally noticing that the tyan motherboard has a 5v chip on it and this is a 12v so it’s not giving enough voltage?

Anyway. I got windows ME to install on the tyan motherboard and finally have a floppy boot disk. Been needing one for a while.

After feeling rather defeated I have ordered a chip programmer and a floppy disk emulator. Today has taught me the importance of having bootable floppy disks and a reliable chip flashing system.

okay so after trying a bunch of different things and either not working because of incompatible motherboard for hotflash or just plain not being able to figure it out for network card flash I finally broke down and bought a xgecu tl866II plus and with bjwil1991's help was able to flash Jan's updated bios to the chip and it's working like a charm!! got the motherboard back!!!!

thanks guys!!
