So I'm trying to get USB support on this old ATC-6130 Motherboard with an Intel Intel 440LX chipset but I get a black screen and am not able to boot at all when I insert the PCI USB card.
What I have tried so far.

1. Switch PCI slots
2. Remove other cards

This is the StarTech.com 7 Port PCI USB Card Adapter.

And this is the mother board with the problem.

Probably not the news you were hoping for, but have a look at this post Re: Active adapter to use USB keyboard on motherboard with only ps/2

The short of it is that you should probably try a USB 2.0 card based on a NEC controller chip instead .

I found this NEC USB card on ebay, https://www.ebay.ca/itm/164755183901?hash=ite … EMAAOSwRZpgSkuf
Wonder if that one would be more compatible.
